The Estonian wood industry company Puidukoda announced that it has completed the purchase of the Stora Enso N\u00e4pi sawmill.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

The purchase deal includes all the land and buildings used by the former N\u00e4pi sawmill, as well as the equipment related to the exploitation of wood, the saw line and equipment are not included in the deal.<\/p>\n

Puidukoda announced that this purchase will allow them to significantly increase their production capacity, securing the opportunity to expand in international export markets and at the same time provide employment to local residents.<\/p>\n

\"The situation in the wood sector has been challenging in recent years, but we believe in the long-term growth of wood use. Increasing production capacity in the processes related to the value of wood - both planing and painting - will help strengthen our position in existing markets and win new ones,\" said Puidukoda O\u00dc CEO Eveli Opmann.<\/p>\n

The Finnish forest industry group Stora Enso announced\u00a0the closure of the N\u00e4pi sawmill in June\u00a0.\u00a0Then it was planned to gradually stop the operation of the sawmill by the end of this year.<\/p>\n

Lars V\u00f6lkel, vice president of Stora Enso's wood products business division, said the sale of the sawmill was one of several measures to improve the Stora Enso Group's long-term competitiveness and profitability. \"We are very pleased that we reached an agreement with Puidokoja, who will pay the necessary attention to the N\u00e4pi sawmill and ensure its permanent development,\" he said.<\/p>\n

Puidukoda is a company founded in 1997 based on French capital, located in Karks, South Estonia.\u00a0The owner of Puidukoda O\u00dc is Groupe Rose.<\/p>\n

The main activity of the woodworking shop is the production and distribution of softwood planing material.\u00a0Piudukoja's products are sold in more than 35 countries around the world, nearly 90 percent of production is exported to Europe, Asia and North America.<\/p>\n

In 2022, the company's sales turnover was 58 million euros.\u00a0The company is one of the largest employers in Viljandi County, employing more than 100 employees.<\/p>\n

N\u00e4pi sawmill produces lumber, post-processed wood and wood pellets.\u00a0The annual lumber production volume of N\u00e4p sawmill is 50,000 cubic meters.\u00a0The annual production volume of two planing lines and a paint line is 180,000 cubic meters of post-processed wood.\u00a0In addition, the sawmill produces 25,000 tons of pellets per year.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
