After rising from 82.68 EUR\/m3 in late 2021 to 108.38 EUR\/m3 in H2\/2022, prices dipped to 92.62 EUR\/m3 in H1\/2023.<\/p>\n<p>Pine logs ranging from 18-26 cm saw a modest price increase, climbing from 106.31 EUR\/m3 to 116.05 EUR\/m3 during the same period. Conversely, prices for pine logs with a diameter over 26 cm slid from 112.47 EUR\/m3 in H2\/2021 to 110.40 EUR\/m3 in H1\/2023.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spruce logs: steady growth<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Spruce logs also experienced notable price changes.<\/p>\n<p>Logs with a diameter of up to 14 cm surged from 51.66 EUR\/m3 to 85.52 EUR\/m3, reflecting an impressive 65.42% price growth from H1\/2022 to H1\/2023.<\/p>\n<p>For spruce logs with a diameter of 14-18 cm, prices steadily increased from 86.48 EUR\/m3 to 96.83 EUR\/m3, representing an 11.94% growth.<\/p>\n<p>A similar trend was observed for logs with a diameter of 18-26 cm, with prices rising from 106.30 EUR\/m3 to 107.51 EUR\/m3.<\/p>\n<p>The most significant price growth was witnessed for spruce logs with a diameter over 26 cm, as prices increased from 106.50 EUR\/m3 to 108.54 EUR\/m3, marking a 1.91% rise.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Birch logs in Latvia witnessed diverse price movements\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Birch logs with a diameter of 18-24 cm recorded substantial price growth, soaring from 51.18 EUR\/m3 to 124.06 EUR\/m3, indicating an impressive 142.69% price increase from H1\/2022 to H1\/2023.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, birch logs with a diameter over 24 cm experienced a 22.56% price decrease, falling from 91.56 EUR\/m3 to 117.14 EUR\/m3 during the same period.<\/p>\n<p>Black alder logs with a diameter of 18-24 cm underwent price growth, rising from 43.25 EUR\/m3 to 93.87 EUR\/m3. However, black alder sawlogs with a diameter over 24 cm saw their prices decrease by 14.12%, going from 62.19 EUR\/m3 to 89.12 EUR\/m3.<\/p>\n<p>Aspen logs with a diameter of 18-24 cm saw a price surge, increasing from 55.56 EUR\/m3 to 76.15 EUR\/m3, marking a 37.08% rise.
