The Egger Group continues its growth trajectory by acquiring the Rauch particleboard plant in Markt Bibart, Germany. The purchase agreement was signed on September 8, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n Following the sale, the Rauch Group will focus entirely on the development of its furniture factories to further enhance its strong market presence.<\/p>\n The particleboard plant in Markt Bibart, near W\u00fcrzburg, has historically been part of the Rauch Group, a family-owned business with a long tradition. For over 125 years, the company has been manufacturing and distributing high-quality wardrobe and bedroom programs. In 1958, Rauch acquired the particleboard plant and began producing its own particleboards for furniture manufacturing. Over time, the particleboard plant has not only supplied Rauch's furniture factories but also various national and international furniture and door customers.<\/p>\n \"In recent years, the proportion of deliveries to third-party customers and, consequently, the product range, has steadily increased, leading us to gradually move away from our original business idea. To remain competitive in the particleboard market in the long term, substantial expansion investments are required. The Egger Group has the strength to unlock the potential of the Markt Bibart location, allowing Rauch to fully focus on the development of its furniture factories,\" said Rainer Hribar, CEO of the Rauch Group.<\/p>\n Subject to obtaining antitrust approval, the particleboard plant in Markt Bibart will become the 22nd production site for the Egger Group. Silence has been agreed upon regarding the purchase price and further transaction details. The furniture factories of the Rauch Group will remain unaffected by the acquisition.<\/p>\n The Markt Bibart plant is equipped with facilities for the production of raw particleboards with a capacity of up to 650,000 m3 annually. Supplying Rauch's furniture factories will continue in the long term even after the Egger Group takes over.
