<\/span>S\u00f6dra's assessments for the autumn indicate a sustained high demand for forest raw materials from family-owned forests. This primarily applies to sawable assortments and energy assortments, where the previous market premium for sawable timber is now incorporated into the base price, while a market premium is introduced for energy assortments. In total, S\u00f6dra is implementing price adjustments within five different assortments.<\/p>\n ''We observe that there is still strong demand for forest raw materials and stability in our industries' needs. This price adjustment is a step towards meeting that demand, which strengthens the profitability of forest owners. However, considering the uncertainties prevailing in our environment and the development of the economic situation, it is difficult to predict the future. The conclusion we draw from this is that we still need a high degree of flexibility and to continue working with tailored market premiums,\" says Peter Karlsson, Business Area Manager for S\u00f6dra Skog.<\/p>\n Starting from September 1, S\u00f6dra will raise the base price for logs, small logs, and roundwood, while the temporary market premium for sawable timber, valid until August 31, will not be extended.
