The roundwood prices on delivery timber in Sweden increased for both sawlog and pulpwood during the second quarter of 2023 when compared with the first quarter of 2023. <\/span>The sawlog price increased by 3 percent and pulpwood by almost 6 percent.<\/p>\n Regionally, the greatest increase in sawlog prices was in Norra Norrland and Svealand with 1 per cent while the prices in G\u00f6taland and S\u00f6dra Norrland were unchanged.<\/p>\n Regarding pulpwood prices, the greatest increase was in Norra Norrland with an increase of 13 per cent. The increase in S\u00f6dra Norrland, Svealand and G\u00f6taland was 5 percent.<\/p>\n When comparing with the same quarter last year, the trend of increasing roundwood prices continues. Overall, sawlog prices increased by 9 percent. Regionally, the sawlog prices increased by 12 per cent in Svealand while the prices in Norra and S\u00f6dra Norrland and G\u00f6taland increased by 9 percent.<\/p>\n Pulpwood prices increased by 40 per cent in comparison with the second quarter of 2022. The increase was greatest in Svealand with almost 55 percent, followed by S\u00f6dra Norrland and G\u00f6taland with almost 46 and 33 percent respectively.
