The prices of softwood logs in Estonia have fallen for the third month in a row, while in July the price drop was rather steep. During the month, pine logs became cheaper by 12.6%, pine logs by 8.4%, spruce logs by 11.4% and spruce logs by 7.2%.<\/p>\n

In three months, prices have fallen by about a quarter, or 25%. Compared to prices a year ago, the price of pine logs, which until now remained clearly higher than spruce logs, has fallen particularly sharply. By now, the significant price difference has disappeared. Over the year, the price of pine logs has fallen by 35.9% (\u20ac43\/m3) and for pine fine logs by 28.9% (\u20ac30.2\/m3). At the same time, spruce wages have fallen by 18.2% (\u20ac16.3\/m3) and spruce fine wages by 10.9% (\u20ac9.2\/m3).<\/p>\n

The price of firewood has increased by 1.4% compared to last month, but it is more important to note the five-month period where the price fluctuated around 40 euros. In July, a dense meter of firewood cost 40.33 euros. It seems that this price level is currently becoming a balance point for firewood for a certain period. Even compared to three months ago, today's price is slightly positive (0.4%), but compared to July last year, the price has fallen significantly (29.2% or \u20ac16.6\/m3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
