Swedish group S\u00f6dra posted a lower result for the second quarter of 2023.\u00a0The report reflects the deteriorating market conditions for the company's main products.<\/span><\/p>\n During the reporting period, S\u00f6dra Group's net sales amounted to 626.89 million euros, compared to 766.53 million euros a year earlier.\u00a0Operating profit amounted to 39.73 million euros, a year earlier - 199.06 million euros, which corresponds to an operating margin of 6%, a year earlier - 26%.\u00a0The result of the second quarter is a consequence of the downturn in the market, which led to lower prices for S\u00f6dra's main products.\u00a0The development reflects the general trend of a weakening economy, high inflation and more expensive products.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter several years of exceptional conditions, we have entered more difficult times with a downward trend in the global economy.\u00a0We posted a significantly lower Q2 result compared to previous years, but the result is stable given market conditions.\u00a0We expect this global trend to continue in the coming quarters and are therefore intensively working on what we can influence to improve efficiency as well as secure a strong market position for S\u00f6dra products going forward,\u201d said S\u00f6dra CEO Lotta Liro.<\/p>\n Group business line results for the second quarter of 2023:<\/strong><\/p>\n Swedish group S\u00f6dra posted a lower result for the second quarter of 2023.\u00a0The report reflects the deteriorating market conditions for the company’s main products.
