The holiday and maintenance shutdowns that are common in the summer months are therefore being extended.<\/p>\n Need and demand for softwood sawlogs have collapsed accordingly. Existing contracts are occasionally even terminated by the buyer. New contracts are rare and are only concluded at greatly reduced prices for short periods of time. In the last few weeks, the price of the leading range spruce A\/C 2b+ has fallen by up to 20 euros per cubic meter, with most of the time falling below the 100 euro mark.<\/p>\n In addition, in many places a quota for taking over due to full warehouses delays the removal of timely processed calamity wood. This also applies to the small quantities from the thunderstorms of 11\/12. July, which must be dealt with as a matter of priority.<\/p>\n Sales of pine have almost come to a standstill. Some sawlogs are purchased as industrial roundwood.<\/p>\n The demand for energy wood is at a level that is usual for the time of year. The prices were also reduced regionally following the industrial logs.
