The Thebault Group, a French plywood producer, announces the establishment of the first LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) manufacturing facility in France.<\/span><\/p>\n

With a forecasted investment of 100 million \u20ac, the new 25,000 m\u00b2 unit will be built on a 15-hectare site in the Sud Auvergne business park, in Lempdes-sur-Allagnon.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, the plant will have an overall production capacity of 100,000 m3 in LVL products, with an initial production phase of 70,000 m3 . The start-up of the site is scheduled for 2025.<\/p>\n

According to the company, this new production unit is part of the Thebault Group\u2019s strategy to broaden its product range, in synergy with the wood species already processed, while securing its wood supply for the coming decades. Silver Fir, a a type of wood found in the Massif-Central has been selected for the industrial production of LVL products. The products will carry the PEFC and Bois de France sustainable forest management labels.<\/p>\n

The Thebault Group is a leading French plywood manufacturer with a yearly production of 125,000 m\u00b3 i.e., almost 50% of the national production and ranks among the top 5 European producers.
