S\u00f6dra has decided to investigate the conditions for a new large-scale sawmill in Kinda in \u00d6sterg\u00f6tland, Sweden. A preliminary project will be undertaken and serve as a basis for a future investment decision.<\/p>\n
S\u00f6dra\u2019s assignment is to improve and renew the value of forest estates. A key part of the association\u2019s Group strategy is a future-proof industrial structure that continuously creates a leading offering for customers and consumers. The association\u2019s sawmills play a central role in this work and S\u00f6dra has therefore now decided to launch a preliminary project to study the conditions for the construction of a new large-scale sawmill.<\/p>\n
The preliminary project will start in the spring and will investigate the potential to replace S\u00f6dra\u2019s current sawmill in Kinda in \u00d6sterg\u00f6tland Municipality, Sweden. The new facility under investigation would be constructed using the latest technology in the industry and mark a technology leap that would benefit health and safety and productivity.<\/p>\n
S\u00f6dra Wood Kinda is one of S\u00f6dra\u2019s eight sawmills and the unit is strategically located to contribute towood sales in the area and S\u00f6dra\u2019s customer offering.<\/p>\n
The preliminary project will start in the spring and is expected to be finalized during the first half of 2024.<\/p>\n
S\u00f6dra is the largest forest-owner association in Sweden, with 51,000 family forest owners as members.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
