Stora Enso replaces wood imported from Russia with domestic wood and expands its wood procurement in Western Finland.\u00a0Two offices have been opened in Satakunta, first in Kankaanp\u00e4\u00e4 and now the Eura office has also been officially opened.<\/p>\n
The forest experts at the Eura office serve forest owners in timber sales and other forestry matters in the Eura, Rauma, Pyh\u00e4ranta, Eurajoki, S\u00e4kyl\u00e4, Kokem\u00e4ki, Harjavalla, Luvia, Kulla, Ulvila and Nakkila regions.<\/p>\n
Next, the company heads to South and Central Ostrobothnia.\u00a0The purpose is to further strengthen the presence in the region and open 2\u20133 new offices.\u00a0The locations of the new offices will be decided later.<\/p>\n
After the Satakunta office openings, Stora Enso Finland's wood procurement has more than 80 offices around the country.<\/p>\n
At the end of April, Stora said it had entered into an agreement to sell its two sawmills and their forest operations in Russia to local management, causing it to record a \u20ac130 million loss.<\/p>\n
On 2 March, Stora Enso announced it would stop all production and sales in Russia, condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
Prior to war in Ukraine, Stora Enso employed around 1,100 people in Russia and its Russian sales accounted for approximately 3% of the group's total sales.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
