The Egger Group invested in the 25 million euros in its Lower Austrian production facility in Unterradlberg. This involves investments in the modernization of the entire chipboard production.<\/p>\n
Production in the Egger Group's third plant was shut down for five weeks in October in order to efficiently carry out the planned conversion and maintenance work on the primary chipboard production plants.<\/p>\n
During this time, the raw board press and the gluing along with the associated controls were renewed. Work continued until the beginning of November to set it up and implement it. Almost all of the site's technical staff, as well as workers from other plants, carried out the maintenance work together with the fitters from the suppliers.<\/p>\n
With its investments, the company is also reacting to the current energy supply situation. It is planned to install a heat exchanger powered by steam from the existing biomass boiler.<\/p>\n
In the future, this new heat exchanger will heat the thermal oil that is required to operate the raw panel press and coating systems. This process is currently still carried out using a gas boiler.<\/p>\n
From the second half of 2023, it will then be possible to operate the entire site almost completely free of natural gas.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
