The company sees the fundamentals of the North American housing market supporting lumber demand.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Market outlook volatile, supported by North America<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The North American timber market remains volatile after a decline in demand in the third quarter due to ongoing economic uncertainty and recessionary pressures.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe strong North American housing market fundamentals will support lumber demand and pricing, above trend levels in the mid to long term,\u201d the company said. \u201cAn aging housing stock, housing shortages stemming from years of underbuilding, the impact of the house-to-house system on the repair and renovation segment, and the growth of large-scale timber construction are expected to continue to drive timber demand in the middle of the year. for the long term.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>North American commodity pricing expected to be range bound in the near term<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The company expects North American commodity pricing to be range-bound in the near term as market inventories are gradually depleting.
