From July 2022 to September 2022, the price of softwood log assortments has continued to rise in the Latvian wood market, while hardwood roundwood assortments have seen a significant price increase.\u00a0The biggest price increase can be observed for pulpwood and firewood assortments, which is explained by the growing demand of pulp mills for pulpwood and energy wood.<\/p>\n
During the last three months, the price of the pulpwood assortment has increased by an average of 21%, the price of thin hardwood has increased by an average of 23%, and the price of the firewood assortments has increased by 25%.\u00a0A significant price increase has been observed for aspen assortments - both sawlogs and energy wood.<\/p>\n
The price for thick sawlogs has risen by 17% (113.33 EUR\/m3), for medium sawlogs by 36% (103.71 EUR\/m3), for thin sawlogs by 37% (103.53 EUR\/m3), but for the assortment of pulpwood the price increase is up by 23% (95.29 EUR\/m3).<\/p>\n
White oak log assortments have also experienced a significant price increase from July to September, with the price of medium logs increasing by 36% (103.71 EUR\/m3), while the price of thin hardwood logs has increased by 37% (103.53 EUR\/m3).<\/p>\n
At the moment, it can be concluded that the prices of roundwood for almost all assortments continue to rise significantly, and for some assortments the price is twice as high as it was at the beginning of the year.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
