Exports of plywood from Russia without the ability to ship to Europe in July-August 2022 collapsed twice compared to previous months to 100-115 thousand m\u00b3 \/ month.\u00a0The plywood export-oriented industry has not shown such minimum values \u200b\u200bsince 2010.<\/p>\n

Undoubtedly, plywood mills, not being able to replace the traditional and high-margin European market in such a short time, reduce capacity utilization, suspend production and shipment of products to the market.<\/p>\n

Almost all plywood mills set quotas for the supply of birch wood or even refuse suppliers' bids. Some businesses that have been actively increasing shipments to the Baltic countries in anticipation of the ban on supplies to the EU are now selling these shipments, but are facing problems transferring money from sales to Russia.<\/p>\n

Plywood mills remain interested in birch plywood to produce quality veneer for high-grade plywood shirts, several traders said.\u00a0Not all mills have yet dismantled winter warehouses, which also have an impact on the market situation.<\/p>\n

In September, the average market price for birch furring was 3,000 rubles\/m\u00b3.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
