The transformation of the global economic situation in the world has led to changes in partnership and market relations between Russia and China, including in the lumber market. The first significant change was the increase in the volume of Russian wood, especially sawn spruce and pine from the North-West region. Previously, the enterprises of the North-West of Russia mainly sent lumber to European countries, however, with the \u201cdeparture\u201d of the European market, they were forced to reorient themselves to alternative regions, including China. In addition, high-quality larch lumber from Siberia, which is usually exported mainly to Europe, Japan and South Korea, is now also looking for markets in China.<\/p>\n
A positive change for the Chinese side was the modification of the payment system by Russian enterprises. So, many transactions are now converted in yuan. However, one of the negative consequences of the changed macroeconomic situation was the deterioration of the logistics component.<\/p>\n
