S\u00f6dra raises the prices of industrial roundwood and fuel wood purchased from members, after seven months from the last increase.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Swedish company, there is still high demand for pulp wood and fuel wood.\u00a0Demand is driven forward by a large need for paper pulp globally and a strained energy situation in Europe.\u00a0This is expected to last both in the short term and throughout the winter.\u00a0Therefore, S\u00f6dra raised wood prices by SEK 30 (EUR 2.71) for pulpwood and SEK 50 (EUR 4.52) for fuelwood respectively.<\/p>\n

After the increase, the basic price for prime softwood industrial roundwood is SEK 465 (EUR 42.01) per solid cubic meter and prime birch and aspen pulpwood SEK 505 (45.62).<\/p>\n

''In recent times, the demand for the energy range has been much higher than normal and we see a continued need for softwood and hardwood pulpwood in the industry,''\u00a0says Olof Hansson, business area manager for S\u00f6dra Skog.<\/p>\n
