The investment includes a fully automatic production facility that, according to Binderholz, meets the highest ecological demands in economic terms. New center layer production<\/strong><\/p>\n The middle layers, which can also be used for sawn timber that is less visually appealing, will in future be made from sideboards, which are first glued to form blocks with a height of 290 to 300 mm. In the future, the top lamellas will be sorted by quality using a Woodeye scanner with a feed speed of 400 m\/min.<\/p>\n In addition to 3-layer solid wood panels in the qualities of spruce, pine, larch and Douglas fir, St. Georgen also offers special qualities such as stone pine, fir or old wood, steamed, chopped or brushed.<\/p>\n Production in the new Plant II is scheduled to start at the end of 2022 and the production volume is to be doubled when maximum output is reached. In this way, existing supply gaps in the European market can be closed, explains Binderholz.<\/p>\n Solid wood high-bay warehouse<\/strong><\/p>\n The ground floor of the new solid wood panel plant is designed as a hybrid construction made of reinforced concrete and binder wood CLT BBS, the upper floor as well as the high-bay warehouse as a pure solid wood construction.<\/p>\n The total of 60 towers of the high-bay warehouse, with a total height of 27 m, consist of BBS XL walls in which BSH beams are hung. Some of the BSH beams are screw-press-glued to the BBS XL panels in order to sufficiently stiffen the towers.
