I want to welcome all of the HIT employees to the Mercer team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Consideration of \u20ac270 million (approx. $275.4 million), inclusive of forecasted net working capital of approximately \u20ac43 million (approx. $43.9 million).<\/p>\n<p>HIT is the world\u2019s largest producer of EPAL wood pallets used for shipping and, in 2021, sold 18 million transport pallets of all kinds and over 1 million cubic meters of traditional lumber products. Sawmill residuals are used to produce biofuels in the form of wood pellets and briquettes. Hit has a total green lumber sawmill capacity of approximately 410 MMfbm and electricity generation capacity of 15MW.<\/p>\n<p>For fiscal year 20211, HIT had:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>net revenues of \u20ac227 million, including approximately \u20ac169\u00a0million from pallets, \u20ac17 million from other lumber \/ wood \/ milled products, \u20ac27 million from biofuels and \u20ac12 million from electricity; and<\/li>\n<li>net Income of \u20ac31 million and Adjusted EBITDA of \u20ac68 million.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For the first quarter of 2022, HIT had revenues of \u20ac72 million, net income of \u20ac12 million, and Adjusted EBITDA of \u20ac22 million.<\/p>\n<p>Mercer will now be the largest German pallet producer.<\/p>\n<p>Mercer International Inc. is a global forest products company with operations in Germany, the USA and Canada with a consolidated annual production capacity of 2.3 million tonnes of pulp, 550 million board feet of lumber, and 140 thousand m3 of cross-laminated timber.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mercer International\u00a0Inc. has completed its previously-announced acquisition of all of the shares of the parent company of Holzindustrie Torgau (HIT).
