The main export markets for the Swedish lumber were the\u00a0<span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">United Kingdom<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"hps\">and the USA<\/span>,\u00a0<span class=\"hps\">followed by Norway and Japan<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\">In particular, exports to USA more than doubled (107%) and supported the considerable drop (-20%) in exports to Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\">Exports to all other major destinations increased considerably. Shipments to Japan increased by 71% up to 682,342 cubic meters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Overall, the increase in Swedish exports was supported by larger deliveries to the United States, Norway, Japan and Egypt. But even to Saudi Arabia, China and Morocco considerably more was exported.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the downturn in Europe, exports to Asia rose by 60% to nearly 1,25 million cbm.
