BSW Group (now part of Binderholz), the largest integrated forestry business in the UK, has acquired a stake in\u00a0Power Sheds.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Having only been operating since 2019, Power Sheds has launched manufacturing wooden garden buildings such as sheds and summerhouses. Just three years later, the Bradford-based company has won a raft of industry awards, including \u2018Start Up of the Year 2022\u2019 and become one of the biggest disrupters in the industry, with a turnover in excess of \u00a315m.<\/p>\n

Power Sheds\u2019 CEO, Jack Sutcliffe, and director, Simon Hobson, will remain in control and continue to drive the business forward in their venture with BSW Group.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur new partnership with BSW Group is really exciting for the company and gives us a great opportunity to build Power Sheds into a world-wide brand and break into new markets such as the US and Europe,\u201d said Mr Sutcliffe. \u201cI\u2019m looking forward to building the business even further and seeing where it takes us over the next few years.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are really impressed with the rapid growth and success that Power Sheds has achieved in only three years, so the team was very excited to develop a relationship and help it expand to its full potential,\u201d said Alan Milne, CFO of the BSW Group. \u201cWe are very much looking forward to working together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Global sawmiller, Binderholz acquired BSW Group in January 2022, meaning it is now the largest sawmilling timber group in Europe with access to markets on a global scale. They aim to diversify and widen the success of Power Sheds in new markets across the world.<\/p>\n

Power Sheds\u00a0employs 75 staff at the Bradford headquarters. The company\u2019s current leadership including Jack Sutcliffe and Simon Hobson, will stay in place. Alan Milne joins them on the Power Sheds board.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
