Wood prices in the Czech Republic are at the highest in two decades due to high demand.\u00a0Prices have been rising since last spring.\u00a0This may have been affected by the disruption of timber imports to Europe from Belarus and Russia, and the feeling that commodities in general will become scarce.<\/p>\n

Czech foresters are also reporting rising costs, seedlings are expensive and not enough.\u00a0Forest owners want an amendment to the hunting law, also so that young trees do not harm the trees so much.<\/p>\n

Today, Czech forest owners stated that, according to them, various ecological organizations have a disproportionate influence on the setting of conditions for forest management.\u00a0\"In no other period has the politics and opinions of people who are not affected by forestry have been so involved in forestry as at present,\" said Radom\u00edr Charv\u00e1t from Lesn\u00ed dru\u017estvo Chvojno.\u00a0The Minister called on foresters to be inspired by the behavior of these organizations and to inform the public and the media more about their work.<\/p>\n
