In the first quarter of 2022, the Homag Group was able to further improve order intake, sales and earnings. The company was particularly successful in China and North America.<\/p>\n

In the first three months of 2022, the Homag Group's incoming orders increased by 30 percent to EUR 574 million (previous year: EUR 440 million), thereby setting a new quarterly record.<\/p>\n

Sales improved by 21 percent to EUR 367 million (previous year: EUR 303 million) and the order backlog rose to a new record level of EUR 1,213 million as of March 31, 2022 (March 31, 2021: EUR 718 million). The Homag Group was able to roughly double its EBIT before special items to EUR 26.8 million (previous year: EUR 13.5 million).<\/p>\n

\"We were able to exceed our high order intake figure from the previous year and set a new record for a quarter,\" emphasizes CEO Daniel Smith. \u201cOur business with individual machines developed very well. We were particularly successful in the Chinese and North American markets.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"It is not easy to make a forecast for further developments in the current financial year, as there are many economic and geopolitical uncertainties,\" says Daniel Smith. \u201cNevertheless, we are confident that we can continue to improve sales and earnings. This is supported by the high order backlog and the good first quarter, which has shown that customers have a great need for investment.
