The State Concern Belarusian Forest and Paper Industry Group (Bellesbumprom) has lost 40% of its exports because of the European sanctions. That is the share of the production of the Belarusian woodworking enterprises supplied to the European Union.\"It is impossible for the sanctions to have no effect on us, because more than 40% of the products of the group's subsidiaries are exported to the EU. Today, our exports to there are restricted to a certain extent, so we have an anti-sanction plan in place. We are trying to find an alternative market for the EU,\u201d\u00a0\u00a0admits Bellesbumprom's chairman Mikhail Kasko.<\/p>\n
Cooperation with various regions of Russia are developing, he said.\u00a0\"We started this cooperation very early. Some of our well-known large furniture factories have a well-developed sales network and own stores in all regions of the Russian Federation. In supplying individual raw materials, especially chemical products, we have successfully established cooperation.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kasko continued: \u201cBelarusian companies are also successfully operating in the Chinese market. Last year China rose to fifth place (in terms of trade volume). We have been exporting pulp there for a long time, and China is one of our biggest buyers. Now, efforts are being made to expand the range of products exported to China.
