Mets\u00e4 Fibre, part of\u00a0Mets\u00e4 Group, starts negotiations on its plans to discontinue the lumber production in Kyr\u00f6, Finland in the summer of 2022. The production stop will affect all the sawmill\u2019s 73 employees.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Kyr\u00f6 sawmill has reached the end of its technical service life, which is why we\u2019ve initiated plans to close down its operations,\u201d says\u00a0Ismo Nousiainen,<\/strong>\u00a0CEO of Mets\u00e4 Fibre.<\/p>\n

The annual production capacity of the Kyr\u00f6 sawmill is approximately 230\u00a0thousand m3<\/sup>\u00a0pine lumber, and the annual wood consumption is approximately 450\u00a0thousand m3<\/sup>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
