Ponsse Oyj has decided to suspend all export operations to Russia and Belarus for the time being. The decision applies to the export of both Ponsse's forest machines and their spare parts.<\/p>\n

The Ponsse Group's Russian subsidiary will also suspend its local spare parts and service operations for the time being. Ponsse says it is working to take care of its subsidiary's personnel.<\/p>\n

Sales in Russia and Belarus accounted for about 20 percent of Ponsse's net sales last year.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Ponsse decided to remove performance management for the current year. This is due to the uncertainties caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the sanctions imposed by the EU. The previous company estimates that the operating result for the current year will be at the same level as in 2021.<\/p>\n

Another forest machine company, John Deere Forestry, suspended all sales to Russia as early as Friday. The company will also suspend the export of spare parts to Russia. About 20 percent of the company's exports consist of the Russian market.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
