Spruce logs prices in Finland reached an average of EUR 65.2 per cubic metre in standing sales in December. It was one percent more than in November. The average price of pine logs increased also one per ent to EUR 60.9. The average price level of logs was three percent lower than during the whole previous year in standing sales.<\/p>\n

The standing sale price was EUR 19.7 per cubic metre for spruce pulpwood, EUR 17.7 for pine pulpwood and 17.1 for birch pulpwood. Prices went up a bit compared to the month before. The average price level of pulpwood was 12 percent lower than in the whole previous year.<\/p>\n

The roadside price for pine pulpwood was EUR 32.1, for spruce pulpwood EUR 33.8 and for birch pulpwood EUR 32.3 per cubic metre. These prices were almost the same as in the month before. In delivery sales, the average price level of all pulpwood was 12 per cent lower than in the whole previous year.<\/p>\n

Trade of roundwood slowed down in December. The trade diminished 16 percent from the year before and was 10 percent smaller than the average for the previous three years.<\/p>\n

However, the amount of industrial roundwood purchased in January\u2013December rose by 27 percent year-on-year and was 13 percent higher than the average for the previous three years. Compared to the previous three years, the trade in logs increased by 27 percent and the trade in pulpwood by two percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
