The Austrian sawmill industry was adequately stocked with softwood logs in DecemberAn upturn in demand, which is unusually low for this time of year, is not expected until mid-January, when the planned shutdowns will come to an end.<\/p>\n

Provided quantities are quickly transported away as far as the weather permits.\u00a0There are no unsold forest stocks.\u00a0The prices have stabilized and vary for the leading range spruce A \/ C, 2b by between 100 and 110 \u20ac.\u00a0Pine is bought at unchanged prices.\u00a0Regardless of other developments, larch maintains its high price level.\u00a0The demand here exceeds the supply.<\/p>\n

The demand for the most important hardwoods oak and beech is extremely brisk.\u00a0Prices for ash were also raised.\u00a0In the case of maple and nut, only the best qualities can be marketed well<\/p>\n

The lower incidence of sawmill by-products leads to a revival in demand for industrial logs.\u00a0In addition to pulpwood, grinding wood is also increasingly being used.\u00a0In some cases, the recovery is already reflected in the price; regionally, this has increased by up to \u20ac 10 \/ AMM.\u00a0Sufficient freight capacities are available, and the quantities provided are quickly transported away.<\/p>\n

The enormously increased prices for mineral oil products currently hardly affect the situation on the energy wood market.\u00a0With the exception of Carinthia and Salzburg, where the energy wood prices have also been adjusted in the wake of the increased pulpwood prices, additional quantities can hardly be sold outside of existing long-term contracts.\u00a0The buyers are sufficiently stocked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
