Following\u00a0Vida<\/a>'s announcement now S\u00f6dra Wood announced that it will slow down production in December. The reason stated is an imbalance between production and demand.<\/p>\n

\n

During 2020 and 2021, the wood products market has been historically strong.\u00a0But since the summer, the stock level in the construction trade has increased and sales of wood products have returned to a level that is slightly better than 2019, but slightly lower than 2020. The construction trade will therefore for a few months have a lower need for wood products to correct their stocks,\u00a0S\u00f6dra says.<\/p>\n

Therefore, S\u00f6dra has decided to reduce the production of sawn timber products by a total of 60,000 cubic meters in December in order to achieve a balance between production and customer needs.<\/p>\n

''The production adjustment is made to balance production and customers' needs. This is a short-term change that will apply during the month of December. Within a few months, we expect customers' inventories to return to normal levels, and for the rest of 2022, we estimate that demand will balance for full production at our sawmills.
