The Austrian Kronospan will invest 180 million euros in a chipboard manufacturing plant for the furniture industry in Tortosa (Tarragona), halfway between Barcelona and Valencia..<\/p>\n
The 90,000-square-meter plant will be in the Catalunya Sud industrial estate.<\/p>\n
Kronospan has 41 plants around the world, and in Spain it has one in Burgos, to which it will add the Catalan one.<\/p>\n
The Spanish Minister of Business and Labor, Roger Torrent, explained last Thursday at a press conference that the Government will accompany the investment of the company with five million euros, of which 1.8 million have begun to be invested through the fund strategic industrial investments, while the remaining 3.2 million euros will be conveyed in the 2022-2023 period.<\/p>\n
Kronospan's general director in Spain, Javier Macicior, said that the plant should to be operational by the end of 2022.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
