At its production plant in Kajaani, P\u00f6lkky Oy invests\u00a0in a modern sorting plant complex at its Kajaani sawmill\u00a0The equipment will be delivered and the automation installation will be carried out by Jartek.<\/em><\/p>\n

The delivery consists of both green sorting and sticker stacker machinery with peripherals. Automation installation for the sorting system is delivered by Jartek AI Oy. The delivery is the biggest green sorting line ever built in Finland, according to Jartek.<\/p>\n

In Kajaani, the project's preparations are already in full swing and equipment installations will begin in a year's time.\u00a0Production trial operation is scheduled to begin at the end of 2022.<\/p>\n

P\u00f6lkky Oy does not state the exact amount of the investment, but according to CEO Petteri Virranniemi, it is about 10 million euros.<\/p>\n

P\u00f6lkky Oy acquired the Kajaani sawmill, or Kajaaniwood Oy, from Tihisenniemi in Kajaani in 2012.<\/p>\n

\"The new line will be installed in the existing building with the shortest possible production stop,\" says Virranniemi.<\/p>\n

The first development project of\u00a0P\u00f6lkky's investment program, Taivalkoski\u2019s planing mill, is completed and the production has recently started. The planing mill will increase the company\u2019s turnover approximately by EUR 30 million.<\/div>\n
