{"id":81231,"date":"2021-09-23T08:34:12","date_gmt":"2021-09-23T08:34:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tin.happy-projects.ro\/china-extends-hardwood-tariff-exemptions\/"},"modified":"2025-09-19T08:56:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-19T08:56:07","slug":"china-extends-hardwood-tariff-exemptions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.timberindustrynews.com\/ro\/china-extends-hardwood-tariff-exemptions\/","title":{"rendered":"China extends hardwood tariff exemptions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to the American Hardwood Export Council and the National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA), Chinese tariff exemptions that were set to expire on September 17 have been extended until April 16, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The tariffs apply to hardwood logs and lumber products exported to China from the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>China\u00a0implemented these tariffs in May 2019 as a retaliatory measure to the tariffs placed on it by the Trump Administration. In February 2020, China first announced exclusions.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 65 initial exclusions, seven were wood products, including hardwood logs; jointed and non-jointed-end lumber; \"other\" oak logs; and cherry, ash, and other lumber with thickness over six millimeters.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to the American Hardwood Export Council and the National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA), Chinese tariff exemptions that were set to expire on September 17 have been extended until April 16, 2022.
