In the second quarter of 2021, the Czech softwood log prices continued their increase that started in the fourth quarter of 2020.\u00a0Previously, prices had followed an almost unbroken downward trend since the beginning of 2018.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Pine sawlog prices rose by 3.8% compared to the previous quarter to \u20ac 52.80 per cubic meter. The spruce\u00a0 sawlog prices also rose compared to the first quarter of 2021 by 21.5% to \u20ac 79.60 per cubic meter.<\/p>\n

Compared to the previous year, pine log prices showed a strong plus of 26.5%. In the case of spruce, too, a strong plus of 55.5% can be reported compared to the previous year<\/p>\n

The downward movement in prices for softwood pulpwood in the Czech Republic, which has not stopped since the high in 2014, came to a standstill in the first quarter of 2021 and turned into a moderate countermovement in the second quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n

The price of pine pulpwood rose in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter by 14% to \u20ac 17.80 per cubic meter.\u00a0Spruce pulpwood was also 9% more expensive and amounted to \u20ac 17.40 \/ cubic meter.\u00a0Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the prices for pine rose by 9%, while the prices for spruce rose by 21% (the reference rate is: 1 \u20ac = 25.45 CZK).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
