In Europe, the positive dynamics of growth rates in the construction sector continues.\u00a0However, due to the high level of prices for construction materials, the implementation of some investment projects in the construction sector is postponed.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The rise in construction activity has put pressure on the supply chain, leading to lengthening delivery times for materials and inflating prices.\u00a0European construction companies expect this situation to continue in the 2nd half of\u00a02021.<\/p>\n

Against this background, the export of softwood lumber from Russia to European countries continues to grow: in January-May 2021, the volume of shipments amounted to 1.78 million m\u00b3 of softwood and hardwood lumber, an increase of 21% compared to January-May 2020.<\/p>\n

In the 1st half.\u00a0In 2021, the volume of softwood lumber exports from Russia decreased by 0.3% yoy to 15.413 million m\u00b3, according to the Federal Customs Service of Russia.\u00a0However, the value of exports for the reporting period increased by 28.8% YoY to $ 2.734 billion.<\/p>\n

Russian export of roundwood in the 1st half.\u00a02021 increased both in volume by 12.6% yoy to 7.179 million m\u00b3, and in value by 20.3% yoy to $ 537 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
