The Bavarian wood processor Ziegler Group wants to build a sawmill and a wood processing plant in the southern Slovak city of Rimavsk\u00e1 Sobota.<\/em><\/p>\n

This was announced by Minister of Economic Affairs Richard Sul\u00edk (SaS) on Wednesday (August 4th).<\/p>\n

Ziegler wants to process one million cubic meters of wood per year and is not worried about the supply of raw materials despite the current shortage of wood.<\/p>\n

The investment to build a sawmill and woodworking plant should reach a total of approximately 255 million euros.<\/p>\n

According to the managing director of Ziegler Holzindustrie, Andreas Sandner, negotiations will be carried out with forest owners and managers in order to satisfy both sides.\u00a0Construction work is scheduled to begin in 2022, with production scheduled to start in 2023.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
