On the whole, June Chinese imported spruce logs fell sharply. The price of spruce\/white pine in all regions of China fell by more than 140 yuan\/cubic meter\u00a0(18.31<\/span>\u00a0Euro\/m3<\/span>), and there were many declines of 200 yuan\/m3 (26.16<\/span>\u00a0Euro\/m3)<\/span>\u00a0and even 300 yuan\/m3\u00a0(39.24<\/span>\u00a0Euro\/m3<\/span>).\u3000<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Due to the emergence of the market's off-season effect in China, the inventory of imported softwood has begun to increase. According to some estimates, the total inventory of softwood in the country has increased by about 1 million cubic meters so far.<\/p>\n

The Chinese industry insiders contacted by Timber Industry News that this is related to the continuous influx of new goods (mainly due to the large number of bulk shipments) and the slowdown in demand due to the domestic off-season.<\/p>\n
