The price has also fluctuated downwards at other Chinese ports such as Lanshan, Dongjiakou, Caofeidian, Dongguan and others ports, according to Chinese importers contacted by GWMI.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese log import market is currently facing relatively large issues. For example, the Taicang government has issued new regulations. In order to reduce pollution and regulate the safety of processing plants, log transport vehicles are not allowed to transport Taicang logs to local unqualified processing plants. Qualified processing plants have only a few processing plants in one processing park, and most of the others do not have sufficient qualifications.<\/p>\n<p>Thus in Taicang, the retail price of German spruce logs declined from 1,500 yuan\/m3 (<span class=\"DFlfde SwHCTb\" data-precision=\"2\" data-value=\"195.65157900000003\">195.65<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"MWvIVe\" data-mid=\"\/m\/02l6h\" data-name=\"Euro\">Euro\/m3)\u00a0<\/span>to 1,120 yuan per cubic meter (<span class=\"DFlfde SwHCTb\" data-precision=\"2\" data-value=\"146.094028192\">146.09<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"MWvIVe\" data-mid=\"\/m\/02l6h\" data-name=\"Euro\">Euro\/m3)<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"section-title\"><\/h2>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to Chinese importers contacted by Timber Industry News, on average in China, the German spruce log transaction price of 195 euros in mid-June has dropped by about 400-500 yuan per cubic meter (52-65 Euro\/m3).
