In November, pellets became somewhat more expensive on a national average in Germany.\u00a0The price for one ton (t) is 229.82 euros if a quantity of 6 t is purchased.\u00a0This is 1.1 percent more than in October, but 9.5 percent less than in the previous year.<\/em><\/p>\n

The price per kilo is accordingly 22.98 cents, the kilowatt hour (kWh) of heat from pellets is available for 4.60 cents.\u00a0There is currently a price disadvantage of almost 15 percent compared to heating oil.\u00a0The price advantage over natural gas is approx.\u00a025 percent.<\/p>\n

\"As expected, the typical seasonal price trend for pellets can now be seen: low in summer, slightly higher in winter,\" explains\u00a0Martin Bentele,\u00a0managing director of the\u00a0German Pellet Institute (DEPI).\u00a0This is due to both the higher demand from larger customers and the somewhat more complex production conditions during the cold season.\u00a0As a DEPI survey of retail companies all over Germany has shown, the warehouses are well stocked and the storage capacities are constantly being expanded.\u00a0This means that the numerous new pellet heating systems can also be supplied without any problems.<\/p>\n

Regional prices<\/strong><\/p>\n

The following regional differences arise in the price of wood pellets in November 2020 (purchase quantity 6 t): In southern Germany, pellets are the cheapest at EUR 225.91 \/ t and are almost unchanged from September.\u00a0In the regions of Central Germany and North \/ East Germany, the price for pellets rose slightly to EUR 231.24 \/ t and EUR 235.18 \/ t.<\/p>\n

Larger quantities (26 t) will be traded in November 2020 at the following conditions:South: 212.86 euros \/ t, Central: 215.00 euros \/ t, North \/ East: 220.93 euros \/ t (all including VAT) .<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
