The average price for pine logs in Finland was EUR 53.8 per cubic metre, and the price for spruce logs was EUR 57.6 per cubic metre in standing sales of non-industrial private forests in August. The price of pine logs went up one per cent and the price of spruce logs remained on the same level as in the previous month.<\/em><\/p>\n

The stumpage price for pine pulpwood was EUR 17.2, the price for spruce pulpwood EUR 19.0 and the price for birch pulpwood EUR 16.4 per cubic metre. The average price of pine decreased one per cent, as spruce and birch went down two per cent compared to the previous month.<\/p>\n

Pulpwood assortments accounted for 70 per cent of the total roundwood trade by delivery sales. The roadside price for pine pulpwood was EUR 31.9, for spruce pulpwood EUR 33.8 and for birch pulpwood EUR 32.1 per cubic metre. The price of pine pulpwood increased one per cent from the previous month. With spruce and birch the change was smaller.<\/p>\n

Finnish roundwood trade picked up after July but clearly less than usual. In January\u2013 August, the trade was 22 per cent smaller to the previous year. The volume of logs decreased by one fifth and the volume of pulpwood drop by one fourth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
