In July, the average stumpage price for pine logs in Finland was EUR 53.5 per cubic meter, and the price for spruce logs was EUR 57.4 per cubic meter. These prices decreased one percent from June.<\/em><\/p>\n

As usual, the Finnish roundwood trade slowed down in July. Roundwood purchases included in the statistics amounted to 1.5 million cubic meters from non-industrial private forests.\u00a0 The volume went down two fifths from the previous month and was 14 percent smaller to the previous year.<\/p>\n

The stumpage price for pine pulpwood was EUR 17.3, the price for spruce pulpwood EUR 19.5 and the price for birch pulpwood EUR 16.7 per cubic meter. The price level for pulpwood decreased compared to the previous month. The price of spruce drop four percent, as pine and birch went down two percent.<\/p>\n

The roadside price for pine pulpwood was EUR 31.5, for spruce pulpwood EUR 34.0 and for birch pulpwood EUR 31.9 per cubic meter. Delivery sales are typically dominated by pulpwood and in July pulpwood assortments accounted close to three quarters of the total roundwood trade by delivery sales.<\/p>\n
