That corresponds to one Kilo price of 22.37 cents and a price per kilowatt hour (kWh) of heat of 4.47 cents.\u00a0Since heating oil has also continued to fall in price, there is a price disadvantage of 11.4 percent for pellets.\u00a0The price advantage over natural gas of almost 29 percent remains stable.<\/p>\n<p>\"Pellets are cheapest in summer,\" explains\u00a0German Energy Wood and Pellet Association (DEPV)\u00a0managing director Martin Bentele.\u00a0\u201cIt is therefore advisable to fill the warehouse for the winter during this time.\u00a0Heating operators who have not yet done so should take action now.\u00a0In autumn the price for the small pellets will increase again a little,\u00a0as usual in the course of the season.\u00a0There are already the first signs of this in the south, where the price has already risen slightly for some purchase quantities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Regional prices<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The following regional differences arise in the price of wood pellets in August 2020 (purchase quantity 6 t): In central Germany, pellets are cheapest at EUR 222.11 \/ t, followed by north \/ east Germany with EUR 222.25 \/ t.\u00a0The price per ton in southern Germany has already risen to an average of EUR 224.45 \/ t.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The pellet price in Germany remained stable at summer level in August, however it is considerably lower as compared to the same month of 2019.\u00a0 The price for a ton (t) of pellets in August costs an average of EUR &hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timberindustrynews.com\/ro\/wood-pellet-prices-fall-germany\/\">Continue reading <span class=\"meta-nav\">&rarr;<\/span><\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":58200,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[4716,4715,4714],"tags":[3302,4130,3283],"class_list":["post-79708","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-latest-trends","category-market-analysis","category-wood-industry-prices","tag-germany","tag-pellet-prices","tag-wood-pellets","topic-industry-prices","topic-wood-energy","area-europe"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.9 -
