Russia's largest timber industry complex\u00a0will be built in the village of Karpogory, Arkhangelsk region.\u00a0Russia's ULK Group is investing more than Euro 400 million in one of the country's biggest sawmill investments in modern times.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The start of work is scheduled for July 2020.\u00a0At the moment, repair and filling of the road surface of the road from the terminal to the construction site of the future plant has been completed.<\/p>\n

The Pinega Forest Industry Complex (Pinezhski LPK) is scheduled for completion in 2023 and would have annual production capacity of one million cubic meters of sawnwood.<\/p>\n

In addition, 600,000 tons of pellet production is planned. The decision to build the sawmill was made in 2019. Preparations for the site are currently underway and agreements have been made with the key equipment suppliers.<\/p>\n

ULK Group includes two sawmills in Arkhangelsk region and one in Novgorod region. Last year, 1.1 million cubic meters of sawnwood were produced.<\/p>\n

The felling potential of company\u2019s leased forests in Arkhangelsk region is four million cubic meters. In 2019, wood harvesting accounted 2.4 million cubic meters.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
