In wood wholesale, on the other hand, the business is mostly described as satisfactory to lively.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The German timber industry currently sees no or only minor impairments in the supply of goods, but there is evidence that bottlenecks can also be expected in the timber trade in the next few weeks.<span id=\"more-23083\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The order situation is mostly viewed positively.\u00a0Around half of the companies surveyed see little or no impairment.\u00a0One third has even more orders than last year.<\/p>\n<p>Only a third of companies are affected by order cancellations or missed orders.\u00a0The extension of payment terms is also reported.\u00a0In addition, it is stated that sales to industrial customers and exhibition stand builders in particular have been down.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the companies surveyed would also like to take advantage of the various measures offered by the federal government, about a third said they took advantage of short-time work, 25% wanted to resort to government aid such as tax deferrals or KfW funds.<\/p>\n<p>Over two thirds of the companies have developed a business continuity emergency plan.\u00a0But only 15% say they shut down business operations.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the companies surveyed are currently not affected by sick leave or quarantine measures.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>German timber trade companies are affected by the coronavirus crisis in very different ways: companies that sell wood have had to close in part.
