Trade of roundwood in Finland continued at a slow pace in February. In January and in February, a total of 4.5 million cubic metres of industrial roundwood were recorded in the wood trade statistics. It was 45 percent less than in the previous year. The trade of logs dropped by half and the trade of pulpwood by two fifths.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The average stumpage price for pine logs in Finland was EUR 53.7 per cubic metre, and the price for spruce logs was EUR 57.7 per cubic metre. These prices increased one percent from the previous month.<\/p>\n

The stumpage price for pine pulpwood was<\/span>\u00a0EUR 17.0 per cubic metre and the price for spruce pulpwood was EUR 18.9 per cubic metre. The price of pine pulpwood remained on the same level as in the previous month and spruce pulpwood went up three percent.<\/p>\n

Delivery sales are typically dominated by pulpwood and in February pulpwood assortments accounted for three fourths of the total roundwood trade by delivery sales. The average roadside price for pine pulpwood was EUR 31.6, for spruce pulpwood EUR 32.4 and for birch pulpwood EUR 31.9 per cubic metre. These prices were the same as in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
