Last month, the ship MS Saga Faith, loaded with lumber in the amount of more than 65 thousand cubic meters, sailed from the coast of Sweden to the United States.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The vessel left the Swedish port of Karlshamn on January 17, having 65,417 m\u00b3 of softwood boards on board.<\/p>\n

The largest private sawmill group Vida AB in Sweden is the exporter, which claims that this is the largest ever shipment of lumber that has left the country.<\/p>\n

According to current import and export data, from January to October 2019, Sweden exported a total of\u00a0369,573\u00a0m\u00b3 of softwood lumber to the United States.\u00a0This is approximately 18% more than in the same period of the previous year.\u00a0In total, a year earlier the United States imported about 371,000 m\u00b3 from Sweden.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
