Latvijas Finieris was the leading wood processing and paper production company in Latvia in terms of turnover last year. Latvijas Finieris' turnover last year amounted to EUR 249.238 million, an increase of 11 percent on 2017.<\/em><\/p>\n

Chipboard producer Kronospan Riga kept its second place in the ranking.\u00a0<\/span>The company's turnover for the last financial year, which lasted from October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018, was EUR 231.466 million, which is 23.9 percent more than a year ago. Among the industry leaders, Kronospan Riga also had the highest profitability - 51.8 percent.<\/p>\n

Wood processing company company AKZ is ranked third, two places up from last year. The company posted EUR 82.673 million in turnover last year, an increase of 26.6 percent on 2017.<\/p>\n

Wood processing company Gaujas Koks has also moved two places up from last year to fourth place. The company's turnover amounted to EUR 82.42 million last year, which is 35.5 percent more than in 2017. Meanwhile, wood processing company Byko-Lat has slipped one place year-on-year, ranking fifth with a turnover of EUR 75,444 million, up 9.8 percent year-on-year.<\/p>\n

Ranked in sixth place is wood processing company Rettenmeier Baltic Timber with annual turnover at EUR 66.431 million last year (15.1 percent increase on 2017), followed by Vika Wood - EUR 64.759 million (an increase of 10.4 percent), sawmill Kurekss - EUR 58.37 million (19.7 percent up), wood processing company BSW Latvia - EUR 58.072 million (12.1 percent up), and United Panel Group Europe - EUR 57.954 million (17.1 percent down).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
