S\u00f6dra\u2019s facility for cross-laminated timber (CLT) in V\u00e4r\u00f6, Sweden, will increase to two shifts and four new employees will be taken on, thereby doubling the production capacity.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cProduction commenced at the facility two months ago and the number of inquiries is continuously increasing. The industry has understood that wooden structural systems entail sustainable and efficient construction,\u201d said Urban Blomster, Business Development Manager Building Systems.<\/p>\n

The production increase is being implemented in a construction market where several recent reports have indicated a slowdown in construction. The trend for S\u00f6dra is in the opposite direction.<\/p>\n

\u201cDemand for wooden structural systems for large construction projects is on the rise and we have therefore chosen to raise the production rate. We offer building systems and products such as building components and fasteners, as well as new digital services to simplify and gain better control over the construction process,\u201d said Urban Blomster.<\/p>\n

To meet demand, S\u00f6dra is also evaluating a second CLT facility at the combined plant in V\u00e4r\u00f6.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
