The recent price of North American red oak fell by 500-600 yuan\/cubic meter (US$ 70-85\/m3)\u00a0 in China's Guangdong market. According to some Chinese business operators, the North American hardwood market is too cold, and the business losses are not covered.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

It is worth mentioning that at this stage, although the price of the hardwood is continuously lowered, the willingness of the Chinese merchants to buy is still very negative. At present, the FAS grade red oak in Guangdong market, 2.15-3.05m long, 1-2 inches thick, has a price of 7000-8000 yuan\/m3.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the North American ash prices at Guangdong market recorded a price drop of about 300-600 (US$ 40-85\/m3yuan \/ cubic meter. Some merchants said that the price reduction of ash is mainly dragged down by the sluggish demand in the downstream market. At this stage, the market is very bleak.<\/p>\n
