All sawlog assortments have become cheaper in Estonia in September 2019. The bark beetle crisis has apparently started to be felt in the Baltics as a more pronounced downfall was recorded for spruce sawlogs' prices, which have fallen by about 2.5% as compared to August and by -4.3% as compared to September 2018, down to EUR 69.42\/m3.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Small diameter spruce (d<18cm) prices has fallen by almost -6% as compared to September 2018, down to EUR 57.51\/m3.<\/p>\n

Pine sawlogs price dropped by more than EUR -1.5\/m3 against August and is almost 1 euro cheaper compared to September last year.<\/p>\n

In the case of pulpwood, the pine price has fallen by slightly in September as compared to August. Both spruce and pine are around 30% below the previous year's level.\u00a0Hardwood logs reported a slight upward trend in September, with birch sawlogs being 4% more expensive than a year ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/colgroup>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
