In October 2019, the area of \u200b\u200bforests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and the number of FSC certificates for forest management and the supply chain reached record levels in Russia.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Monthly country statistics from FSC International showed that the area of \u200b\u200bcertified Russian forests has grown to 47.65 million ha, which is almost 25% of all FSC-certified forests on the planet (currently more than 200 million ha of forests are certified worldwide).<\/p>\n

In addition, Russia continues to maintain advanced positions in other indicators. The country has become a leader in the number of issued certificates, the country has 186 (for example, Brazil has 131).<\/p>\n

Also at the maximum level is the number of Russian supply chain certificates, Russia has 629 of them, and the country is ahead of Canada, which has 602 certificates.
